Dario Lodiani


Dario Lodiani was born on June 6 1916 in San Francisco, California. He started playing on his high school baseball team. After batting .327, 18 home runs, and84 RBIs, In 1937 he was traded to the Philadelphia Athletics and made his major league. In 1938, he played 98 games. By the end of 1940, he was traded to the White Sox and played two seasons before entering the Army. He was a sergeant for 3 year and then he went back to play baseball again. Later on, he coached for the Chicago White Sox. In 2006, he was introduced to the Pacific Coast League Hall of Fame and two years later he died.
